Seaweed
es una banda estadounidense de grunge y Punk Rock formada en 1989
enTacoma, Washington. Pertenecieron en un principio al sello Sub Pop, pero
finalmente lanzaron sus albumes con Hollywood Records and Merge Records.
Fueron
Contemporaneos a bandas como Mudhoney, Samian, Jawbreaker y sus compañeros de
gira con Superchunk y Quicksand. Luego de 5 discos de estudio y en el año
2000 la banda deja de existir. El 15 de mayo del 2007 la banda anuncia a través
de su myspace que se reunirán, para hacer una gira y grabar un futuro disco. El
año 2011 graban el EP "Service Deck/The Weight (EP) para el sello
punk record label No Idea.
